Additional measures to limit and prevent Coronavirus contamination in Băneasa Shopping City mall

March 11, 2020

In the context of applying the necessary measures for the prevention and control of infections with the new coronavirus, Băneasa Shopping City continuously monitors the situation at the mall and applies an increased preventive behavior throughout the commercial area during this period.

Considering the alert status declared in Europe as well as the measures approved at national level as a result of the presence of coronavirus, and since there is a permanent concern, the Băneasa Developments management had a meeting with the authorities of Sector 1, including Mr. Mayor Daniel Tudorache to establish an action plan to prevent the spread of Covid 19 virus.

As a result of the discussions, a series of preventive measures were applied in the shopping center for the hygiene and cleanliness of the spaces, including: supplementing the staff responsible for the cleaning services, increasing the frequency of sanitation and disinfection of the stairs, the tables in the food court area and of elevators, as well as the installation of devices with disinfectants that are available to consumers in the food court area and at the entrances to the shopping center. Also, inside the shopping center, during the period February - March, disinfection services with products approved by the Ministry of Health were intensified.

Moreover, the management of the shopping center has supplemented the protection measures for its employees, among which is the introduction of the flexible work schedule and thus the limitation of exposure to the public transport crowding during peak hours, as well as the disinfection of the work spaces and the equipment with disinfectant materials.

Băneasa Shopping City encourages healthy habits that limit the spread of viruses and recommends respecting the indications transmitted by the Ministry of Health.

To ensure correct information about the preventive measures that are required, we recommend our clients to follow credible and authorized sources, such as the official notifications of the Ministry of Health.
