Bucharest, November 20th, 2007 – The spring of 2008 brings to the Romanian market one of the most eagerly awaited shopping centers: Baneasa Shopping City - developed by Baneasa Developments.
With an investment of over 150 million Euros, Baneasa Shopping City is in full process of finalization. The workers are now mounting the granite plates. The steel structure of the secured spider glass has already been fixed and the facade assembled. The demise plasterboard walls for shop units and the masonry walls are now fully built.
“Only small details for a construction at this size are left to be put in order. The ventilation and electricity systems spread on the entire surface of the commercial center are under construction. Furthermore, the exterior parking of the commercial center is 90% built. Starting with November, 15th, the tenants have begun to take over their leased units to arrange their stores. Meanwhile, we have already begun the interior and exterior finishing process for the building.” stated Ali Ergun Ergen – Baneasa Developments Administrator and Retail Development Manager. “Baneasa Shopping City is really an unique concept for the Romanian market, offering to its future visitors an exquisite shopping and entertainment destination.” added Ali Ergun Ergen.
In Baneasa Shopping City, the lease process is 100% completed. More than half of the rentable surface of the mall will enrich the Romanian fashion market with lots of new brands. Peek & Cloppenburg, Inditex (BERSHKA, MASSIMO DUTTI, OYSHO, PULL & BEAR, STRADIVARIUS, ZARA, ZARA HOME) and Azadea Group (PIAZZA ITALIA, OVIESSE, COLOURS & BEAUTY, SALSA JEANS, XANAKA, SUNGLASS HUT, ANDRE) are the three anchors of Baneasa Shopping City to be found for the first time in Romania under the same roof at the official opening of the mall.
The “most eagerly awaited mall in Romania” will also offer the first three level food-court in the country. Only there, people will enjoy fast-food on the run at the ground floor. Couples, friends and business partners will be able “to talk it over” in a classy and welcoming restaurant that will offer a variety of types of food at the first floor. Clubbers can party and then relax at the second floor dedicated to a club, lounge & SPA area.
Baneasa Shopping City will also bring, in the following phase, another unique concept on the Romanian market: “Family Entertainment Center”, the largest entertainment center for the whole family in the country developed on 30,000 sq. m.
The new exquisite shopping destination is integrated in the Baneasa Commercial Area, part of the Baneasa Project and will be the fashion, food and fun benchmark of Bucharest.
